Staff Profiles

Heather Perez

Heather has worked in the legal field since 2000 and is a paralegal here at Cohen Family Law.  Born and raised in California and transplanted to Washington State, Heather finally relocated to Arizona in 2000 in pursuit of warmer weather.  Family is very important to her, including yours.  She is married with three children and one grandson.  She is a big advocate for Autism awareness and special needs in general as her oldest son has Autism.

Before becoming a paralegal, Heather worked as a Legal Secretary, and before that, a Records Manager.  She is committed to using her experiences to help you accomplish what is important in your life.  Heather has experience across many different areas of law, including medical malpractice, personal injury, and family law matters.  She is well-rounded, extremely attentive to detail, and treats every case as if it were her own.

When not at work or spending time with her family, Heather runs a small business where a portion of the proceeds are donated to the Autism/Asperger’s Research Program at Arizona State University.

Jordan Doneskey

Jordan is a native Arizonan, born and raised in Phoenix’s East Valley.  He graduated from Arizona State University after studying Journalism and Education.

Prior to entering the legal field, Jordan worked in broadcast journalism and education.  His lifelong passion for reading and writing eventually led him to work as a Paralegal with hopes of finishing the great American novel on nights and weekends.

Outside of the office Jordan enjoys spending time with his son, weight lifting, and following various European soccer clubs.

Kiona Perez

Kiona is a part-time legal assistant here at Cohen Family Law.  Born in Washington and raised in Arizona, she dislikes the heat, but couldn’t imagine calling anywhere else home.

When not at work, she attends ASU full-time and is on track to graduate with a Bachelor’s of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences in Spring 2018. She plans to one day be a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in working with autistic children.  While family law is not her ultimate career path, she still handles every case with the same amount of devotion as the rest of the team here at Cohen Family Law.

In addition to work and school, Kiona has a 2-year-old son who keeps her continuously on her toes.  On the occasion that she finds free time, she enjoys reading and trying new things.  Kiona is also gifted with an exceptional artistic ability and puts her skills to use as often as the universe will allow.
